Setback for Giallorossi away to Torino (3-1)

An early goal by Borja Mayoral converted from an assist by Pedro Rodríguez was not enough as Roma lost 3-1 against Torino on Sunday evening. The Spaniard was back to the starting line-up and played the full first half (0-1).

Second half goals from Antonio Sanabria, Simone Zaza and Tomas Rincon proved the difference for the hosts, who took a huge step towards preserving their Serie A status with the three points.

Mayoral had scored his eighth league goal of the season just three minutes into the contest to give the Giallorossi the lead but, despite going into the break in front, they were unable to hold on.

Pedro and Roger Ibanez were among those to also go close during the course of the game.

Paulo Fonseca's side do not have long to dwell on the result - they face Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday evening.
