Europa League third round ended in a win for SS Lazio as Pedro keeps on fire netting the opener. The Tenerife-born player extended his scoring streak this season and showed at the De Grolsch Veste stadium by scoring the opener (35') of a valuable win to maintain the Italian team at the top of the European competition. Isaksen (87') sealed the 0-2 final score for Lazio, who now focus on the next Serie A round against Genoa.
The match soon went downhill for the Italian side as the locals were one man down after Unnerstall sent off. The Biancocelesti pushed to get advantage and did so in the 35th minute. Pedro took advantage of a cross from Vecino with a right-footed shot and his goal was validated after VAR review. It was his second goal in three games in the competition.
The Laziali show continued in the second half Pellegrini smashing the woodwork with a shot to the crossbar and a penalty alert after for a foul by Hilgers on Castellanos, cancelled by VAR revision. After another missed chance by Tchaouna, the deserved 0-2 came in the 87th minute, when Dele-Bashiru attacked from the right and crossed for Isaksen, who netted the second. A well-deserved victory as Lazio remains at the top of the Europa League standings after three games.
