Lazio, with Pedro Rodríguez in the lineup, returned to winning ways against Juventus (1-0) and moved to tenth spot in the Serie A table, seven points behind the league leaders. The Biancocelesti side emerged victorious, through a remarkable performance from a committed squad that fought until the very last minute for all three points. Pedro performed in the final stage of the game, replacing Isaksen on the attacking line.
Basic scored the only goal of the match. He unleashed a left-footed shot from the edge of the box in the 9th minute, and his effort, aided by a slight deflection off Gatti, beat Perin and decided a hard-fought contest in which Lazio were always more intense, more determined, and more aggressive. They deserved the victory against a Juventus side that continues to struggle.
