Everything seemed as SS Lazio would achieve their third victory of the season away to Sampdoria, but after leading on the scoreboard from Immobile's opener (21'), in injury time the local side scored an equaliser through Gabbiadini. Pedro Rodríguez came onto the game in the 40th minute, replacing injured Felipe Anderson, and tirelessly tried to clinch the victory with a goal that finally did not come.
It was a last-gasp heartache that left SS Lazio without two points, despite scoring the opener and lead the game during almost the entire game. Immobile got the most form a superb heel assist by Milinkovic-Savic and put visitors on the driving seat.
Also VAR denied ah hipotetic penalty for Sampdoria and Ciro Immobile hit the woodwork in what could be the second goal of the game, but the 0-1 was frozen on the scoreboard until injury time. Then a pass by Tomas Rincon found Gabbiadini in the box to make it 1-1.
