The Olimpico called for comeback after defeat at Porto (2-1)

A comeback away at Stadium Do Dragão turns the last 32 Europa League tie uphill for SS Lazio, as the Italians must get a win in the second leg to play next week at the Olimpico. FC Porto reacted after the early goal by Zaccagni (23’), with a brace by the Spaniard Toni Martínez (37', 49') enough to secure a one-goal advantage.

Pedro was on the Biancolesti’s starting eleven and displayed a high-level performance. He contributed to the first goal, in a set-piece partnership with Luis Alberto, to ensure a perfect cross from the right to Zaccagni. Pedro kept on working hard to get a bigger advantage before being replaced on minute 83 by Cabral.

After a good reaction, Porto scored an equaliser before the break and push up to 2-1 soon after. There were chances for both sides to change the scoreboard but it was the locals who got the most from their opportunities on Strakosha’s area despite the hard effort displayed by Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
