Away defeat against Serie A leader (4-0)

After an Europa League valuable win grabbed at Moscow on Thursday, Lazio suffered an away Serie A defeat on Sunday against league leader Napoli. The trip to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona turned uphill soon in the first half, after goals by Zielinski (7’) and Mertens with a brace (10’, 29’).

Maurizio Sarri's side fought hard to close the gap and produced several chances to do so, but the fourth goal by Fabian Ruiz made it 4-0 locking the three points for the locals.

Pedro was back to the starting eleven, after being subbed in Moscow. He played 75 minutes of the game before being replaced by fellow Raúl Moro. Next fixture, Sunday's game at the Olimpico against Udinese.
