Job done after tough game at the Olimpico (1-0)

SS Lazio beat Sampdoria in Serie A at the Olímpico after a hard-fought contest with Spaniard Luis Alberto scoring the decider in the final stage (1-0).

Pedro was part of Maurizio Sarri's starting eleven, wearing a protective mask after his recent nose surgery. The attacker played a high-level 51-minute performance before he was replaced by Zaccagni. All three points grabbed allow the Biancocelesti their return to a Champions League spot on the Serie A table.

Sampdoria was a hard rival during the full +90 minutes of the game with a strong defensive line, as Lazio needed a strong effort to break the deadlock. Pedro Rodríguez starred an outstanding chance in the first half, with a shot to the woodwork.

In the second half opportunities for both teams could be seen at the Olimpico, although it was the local side who found reward to a right-footed drive from Luis Alberto from the edge of the box to the top corner.
