The Derbi Della Capitale is Biancolesti. Lazio beat Roma 1-0 in the great contest between the city sides, a highly contested Serie A clash in which Sarri's men took all three points thanks to a goal by Zaccagni (64'). Pedro formed on the starting eleven and performed at a very high level during the 88 minutes of a hard-fought game. With the three points grabbed Lazio climb up to the second spot of the table and strikes his second triumph in the Derby this season.
In a highly competed first half Lazio could not get advantage on the scoreboard, but Roma's Roger Ibanez was sent off with a second booking in the 32nd minute and there were more red cards, one for each team's coaching staff, after a dispute on the sideline a little later.
Maurizio Sarri's men made the advantage count in the 65th minute with Zaccagni slipping through the defence and curling in a low shot. Pedro could make it 2-0 but Rui Patricio displayed a Superb save to avoid the Spaniard from getting another goal against his former side.
They briefly thought their lead was short-lived when Lazio's Nicolo Casale put the ball in his own net two minutes later but it did not count following a VAR review.
Roma tried to find an equaliser but despite having possession they lacked the final pass and the match finished with the 1-0 for the Biancocelesti. Lazio are second on 52 points, behind runaway leaders Napoli, with Roma in fifth on 47.
