Up to Serie A second spot after home win to Monza (1-0)

SS Lazio advances towards the Serie A World Cup break in style. The mid-week fixture at the Olimpico against Monza ended in a one-goal win thanks to a strike by Luka Romero, a crucial result to face Sunday's big-gun contest against Juventus. With Pedro in the starting line-up, Maurizio Sarri's men managed to beat a fierce rival and climb to second place in the Serie A table. The Spaniard played a key role again in the build-up of the goal.

The Laziali side climb up to the second spot of the Serie A table, eight points behind league leaders Napoli. With the three points grabbed Lazio overcome AC Milan, who fell to third place after their goalless draw at Cremonese, although both teams have 30 points earned.
