Pedro signs superb display and assist as Lazio pass through to last-16 (1-0)

Pedro Rodríguez served a perfect assist to Felipe Anderson as the Brazilian converted the winner against Bologna in the Coppa Italia opener for SS Lazio (1-0). It was an emotional game at The Olimpico as the Biancocelesti family paid tribute to Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Both local and away squads remembered the Serbian figure who died in December and had an impact in the two clubs, being a Lazio player from 1998 to 2004 and Bologna coach from 2019 to 2022.

After the kick-off, Lazio took control of the game with pressure on a high by the local players, and also with Pedro displaying a key role in the attacking line.

The local side broke the deadlock after half an hour, with the Pedro-Felipe Anderson connection working in style to produce the first blood. The Spaniard got pressing reward and served a fine assist to Anderson so the Brazilian put locals in the driving seat.

Despite the 1-0 was the only goal of the game, Bologna did not put too much weight over the Laziali's shoulders on their way to Coppa Italia last 16 round.
