SS Lazio slip to Coppa Italia defeat (1-0)

The trip to Torino on Thursday left SS Lazio out of Coppa Italia challengers as Juventus won their Last-8 contest after a one-goal win. A single goal by Bremer on the edge of the break decided the winner, despite the hard work displayed by Sarri’s squad in the second half against a strong defensive Juventus side. Pedro Rodríguez played the full second half replacing Ciro Immobile after the break.

In the first 45 minutes was the locals who took control of the game against a solid Lazio. But in the final stages of the first half, a cross by Kostic from the right found Bremer on the box, as the Bianconeri scored the opener with a header.

The second half turned the focus of the game to the visitors, as Lazio tried hard to close the gap with Pedro on the pitch after replacing Il Capitano Immobile on the attacking line. Despite the good work of the Biancolesti, it was a hard task to convert their chances on the equaliser. The high pressure on the final stage of the game was not enough to beat Perin as the Coppa Italia trip finished on a road closed.
