SS Lazio played a friendly game away at the Power Horse stadium -in Spanish town Almería-, a match scheduled in their preparations before Serie A competition return on January 4 against Lecce.
The game ended in a 2-0 defeat for Sarri's squad, but an unforgettable ovation for Pedro was heard on and off the pitch: the stadium broke into an outstanding cheer when the Spaniard’s substitution was glimpsed.
Finally, the change did not happen as Pedro played the full 90 minutes, but the resounding ovation from the stands was amazing and the visitor’s number 9 thanked deeply after the game: “I want to thank all the Almería fans. It has been a nice gesture, an important thing for me and I am very grateful to the people here ”, he stated in words for El Desmarque.
