The debut of SS Lazio in the UEFA Conference League is done. The Laziali defeated CFR Cluj in a hard-fought win (1-0), a game that also was the first for Pedro Rodriguez in the competition and his seventh century milestone in professional football.
A superb strike by Ciro Immobile in a set-piece was the only goal in the game, despite Lazio played almost the full game with ten men after Patrick was sent off 15 minutes from kick-off. Pedro came onto the pitch on minute 61’ and played a key role to maintain safe their advantage. The second leg will be played away next Thursday.
