Pedro writes his name in the golden pages of football

Pedro Rodríguez met the expectations and got hold of a new record, to score in six different competitions within the same season (08/09). The player who comes from the ranks of Barça FC, scored the 1-3 against the Mexican Atlante in the Clubs’ World Cup, which was the last competition left for the Canary Islands player after scoring in the league, Copa del Rey, Champions League, Spanish Super cup and UEFA Super cup. Iniesta handed it to him in a silver platter with a sublime pass and Pedro didn’t forgive in the hand to hand to set the final 1-3.

Till this moment, Pedro has been the author of the only strike in the UEFA Super cup against Shakhtar Donestk, he also scored in the first round of the Spanish Supercup in San Mamés against the Athletic de Bilbao, he adds to his account two strikes in Champions League, another two in the Copa del Rey and three in the League –with 13 matches played already-

All of this in only four months, the time he has been playing in the first team. But, as it usually happens with this kind of players, he’s not obsessed. He thinks first in the team’s success to get his own success after it. “We’re living a good season and I hope this good string will continue and we can achieve the title. We are very excited with it, and if I also can get the strike, it would be great”, said the Canary Islands player before touching the sky in Abu Dhabi. “For me it would be a perfect year, and so would be for all the team”, he told us. The ambitious objective is on its way and could be made real at the great final of next Saturday 19th of December.
