Pedro, the man of the golden goals

The winger played his best match of the poker of ‘clásicos’ and left again his mark in a big clash. Some months ago, the day before Arsenal-Barcelona, the English press was still wondering who was Pedro. They didn’t understand how an almost unknown player could have slipped into the most famous Barcelona of the history. And even less his quick progression. But ‘Brilliant Mr. Nobody’ (as they nicknamed him) will return to London the 28th of May with all the honours. He will be at Wembley to leave his mark and make even bigger his romance with the Barcelona fans.

Last night he appeared again when and how he likes. At the moment of the brave. When the team most needed him. People also waited for him in the previous ‘clásicos’, but he only showed some winks of his best version. Pedro had to deal with Marcelo and a sports hernia that reminded him that, even him, has the right to rest.

Pedro never gave up because he knows his moment would arrive and gave us a fourth ‘clásico’ to remember. Again before Real Madrid, but this time surrounded by his people; the Barça fan who never gets tired of cheering him up because there isn’t another more hard-working player. Last night he was intense, paced, surprising; this time he could beat Marcelo. Pedrito ran again and again because he always knew that things take effort, as he admits quite often “If Messi, Xavi and Iniesta do… Why shouldn’t I!

Yesterday he was a constant threat for Real Madrid and he was able to call a goal. Again Casillas suffered the accuracy of the player from the Canary Islands, not really given to forgive into the area. The Real Madrid goalkeeper already knows that; Pedro hides, because it seems he’s not there, looks at the goal, prepares the leg, and shot calm. Yesterday he received a present from Iniesta and defeated Iker with a devastating accuracy.

That’s Pedro, a special guy able to score last season in all the competitions. A guy with a certain magic about him at the biggest sceneries. He scored at the Club’s World Cup final, decided the European Super Cup and also the League with a goal at Bernabeu. He’s the man of the golden goals. Yesterday he appeared again to defeat Real Madrid. Like if he was the ‘god out the machine’ for Barcelona. He always is there to help Barcelona to get its best objectives. Yesterday he scored his fourth goal this season in Champions. In Wembley he will have again a new appointment with the history.
