FC Barcelona informs that they have get to an agreement with Pedro Rodriguez to improve and extend his contract with the Club for one more season, until the 30th july 2016. The escape clause will go from 90 to 150 million euro.
The signing will be made this Thursday around 11.30. Subsequently they will perform an open Photo shoot for the media at the entrance of the FC Barcelona headquarters.
- 45 goals in two seasons at the top
Pedro Rodriguez arrived to the Club the summer of 2004 and was a player for the Youth team A and Barça B for four seasons, he was finally settled at the first team the 2009/10 season, when he played a total of 52 matches. That season, Pedro scored 23 goals in all the competitions, accuracy he maintains also during the 2010/11 season, with 22 goals more.
During these seasons as a member of the first team –Rijkaard made him to debut the 2007/08 season and the 20008/09 season he was moving between Guardiola’s squad and Luis Enrique’s-, Pedro has shown that he can be a decisive man at the attacking positions of FC Barcelona. He can play both as a right or left winger and is an example of hard working at the pressure tasks.
