Barça’s ‘MVP’ reaches 70 goals

Barcelona’s ‘MVP’ (or what’s the same, the initials of Messi, Villa and Pedro) reached at the King’s cup match against Almería a figure within reach of only a few. The three players scored their own goal last Wednesday and together they add up to 70 goals in the League, the Cup and the Spanish Super Cup.

Messi is the most standing out player of them all. The Argentinean player adds up to 19 goals in 17 League matches, seven goals in six Cup fixtures and other six in Champions League. If we also add the three goals he scored at the second round match of the Spanish Super Cup against Sevilla, Leo Messi adds up thus far to 35 goals.

Villa is having bit by bit a good scoring pace and he’s already one of the main pieces of Barça’s ‘MVP’. The forward from Asturias adds up to 14 goals in 19 League matches, two in the five Champions matches he has played and one in the four King’s Cup matches. This way, the ‘Guaje’ contributes with 17 goals.

Pedro has improved even more, if that’s possible, his performance. He’s one of Pep’s crowning jewels and another goal-scorer within Barça team. The player from the Canary Islands is giving and getting very good results in the League thanks to his 11 goals in 19 matches. Besides, he’s scored four goals in the King’s Cup and other three in the five Champions League matches he has played this season.

Adding the 35 of Messi, the 17 of Villa and the 18 of Pedro, Barça’s ‘MVP’ reaches exactly 70 goals so far this season.
