Pedro establishes himself Worldwide with the goal Pelé wasn’t able to score

When a player scores from the middle of the field it’s always said that he scored Pelé’s goal at the 1970 World Cup, but that’s not correct, because ‘O Rei’ didn’t get to score that goal.

Pedro Rodríguez Ledesma, formerly known as Pedrito and now fortunately renamed Pedro, achieved against Deportivo what Pelé wasn’t able to get against Czechoslovakia in 1970. “Pedro is extraordinary, imagine how much would a player like him cost in the market”, admits Guardiola.

With the scoreboard at 1-0 Pedro received the ball, and as it came, he shot it with his left foot so the ball drew a curl of 40 meters and slipped into Aranzubia’s right goalmouth.
