Roma grabs valuable point against Serie A leaders (3-3)

Never give up. Roma came from behind three times to draw with AC Milan on Monday night, so the Giallorossi grab a valuable point from one of the toughest trips of the season. Pedro formed on Paulo Fonseca's starting line-up and played the full 90 minutes up-front against the Serie A leaders. Marash Kumbulla was the hero for the second time in a week, scoring the final equaliser (3-3).

The Giallorossi pegged back the Serie A pacesetters with a 3-3 draw at the Giuseppe Meazza, in a ding-dong battle that saw both sides enjoy dominance at different stages.

It was certainly the hosts who started the faster, however: Stefano Pioli's side scoring in the opening two minutes of both halves to give themselves the lead each time.

On both occasions it was Rafael Leao at the heart of it - the winger picking out Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the opener, and then Alex Saelemaekers for the second.

On both occasions, however, Paulo Fonseca's side eventually responded. It was Edin Dzeko - with his 109th goal for the club - who provided the first, as he headed in from Lorenzo Pellegrini's corner.

In the second half it was the turn of Jordan Veretout, as the Frenchman continued his perfect record from the penalty spot after Pedro had been fouled by Ismael Bennacer.

If there were some questions about that penalty decision, then there were far more over the one a few minutes later that allowed Milan to take the lead once again. Nevertheless, Ibrahimovic converted it calmly.

That left Roma needing yet another comeback - and it was the unlikely figure of Kumbulla who did it, the Albanian steering home at the back post after another Pellegrini corner had made its way through to him.

In the closing stages Antonio Mirante produced one final, miraculous save to deny Franck Kessie and secure a share of the points.

The Giallorossi are back in action on Thursday: they host CSKA Moscow in the Europa League at the Olimpico.
