Comeback clinches European spot in last fixture (2-2)

Serie A schedule finished on Sunday night for AS Roma. A second half away comeback clinched Roma a place in the inaugural edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League. Pedro formed on the starting eleven for this final game of the season and played 71 minutes before being subbed by Javier Pastore.

The Giallorossi came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Spezia at the Stadio Alberto Picco, securing the point they needed to finish seventh in Serie A.

Stephan El Shaarawy and Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the vital goals on the night - with Mkhitaryan's close range finish coming just five minutes from the finish.

With Sassuolo beating Lazio elsewhere, the point was vital in ensuring Paulo Fonseca's side did not drop down to eighth in the final standings.
