Pedro happy as Blues are “moving up the table”

Chelsea have recovered well from their opening day defeat against Burnley, winning their last three games to move up to third in the table. Pedro has praised the hard-work of the team following that objective.

‘It’s one more win for us, a very important three points and we are continuing in the right way,’ Pedro said. ‘The team are playing very well.

‘Every game in the Premier League is difficult, Leicester are very good on the counter attack and in transitions, with players like Vardy and Mahrez, so it was very important for us to win.

‘They were two very good goals, Morata scored the first from a good Azpi cross, and N’Golo’s was a nice shot from outside the box. We are moving up the table which is very good for us.’

Pedro heaped praise on N’Golo Kante, labelling the France midfielder as a ‘complete player’.

Kante scored his second goal for the Blues following Alvaro Morata’s opener as Antonio Conte’s side clinched a narrow 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium.

The 26-year-old has been a revelation in the Premier League, winning back-to-back titles with Leicester City and Chelsea and being named the PFA Player of the Year.
‘He’s a very important player for the team, a very good midfielder,’ Pedro said of teammate Kate.

‘He’s always running and recovering balls. He also scores goals and he’s a complete player.’
