Having played a Superb display in 3-0 win over Bournemouth, Pedro says the whole team are full of confidence right now.
The Blues recorded a 12th consecutive Premier League win against the Cherries, setting a club record in the process, to strengthen our position at the top of the table.
It was Pedro who set Blues on their way, opening the scoring with a delightful left-footed effort in the first half. He was initially awarded our third goal but the strike has since been credited officially as a Steve Cook own-goal.
‘I’m very happy to have scored and help the team but the most important thing was the win,’ said the Spaniard.
‘It’s unbelievable because it’s very difficult to do that in the Premier League but the team are very compact on the pitch and that’s the right way.
‘It was very good, all the team played very well with great intensity and a good mentality. It was a very important win on Boxing Day for the supporters and we are very happy.’
The absence of suspended duo Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante wasn’t felt as we looked comfortable throughout.
Eden Hazard, who also scored, operated in a central striking role, flanked by Pedro and Willian, while Cesc Fabregas came in for Kante and performed well.
‘It was a good performance, all the players are high on confidence and that’s very good for the team,’ Pedro added.
‘The attackers played very well and that’s the most important thing, the team were fighting for each other on the pitch and that’s the right way.’
Next up is another home game, with Stoke City the visitors to Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Pedro will serve a one-match suspension having picked up a fifth booking of the season yesterday.
‘It’s difficult because the season is very long, there are a lot of games still to play but at the moment it’s very good for us to be top of the league,’ Pedro said.
‘Bournemouth are a good team and it was very difficult. Stoke are also a very good team but we must take it game by game.’
