Pedro improves his ‘super track-record’ with another Super Cup

FC Barcelona continues making its legend bigger. They hammered 4-0 Sevilla at a brilliant football night and made a comeback from the 3-1 of the first round. Villa made his debut at a night in which Konko (own goal) and Messi, with a new hat-trick, were the scorers.

Guardiola sent a message half an hour before the kick off of the match, when the line ups were disclosed: five of the world champions were going to play from the beginning. And Messi also. There would be a power-to-power clash. Two hours later it was shown that it’s very difficult to beat a complete barça. In only 45 minutes they had made a comeback from the 3-1 of the first round, thanks to the own goal scored by Konko –after a move of Pedro- and also thanks to the two goals of Messi. The second half’s party let us see Villa and Adriano in action, the two debutants of the Camp Nou, and we also could see Iniesta, the manufacturer of the final 4-0, also scored by Messi.

With this result, FC Barcelona gets its eighth title within three seasons and maintains its crown at the Spanish Super Cup. So luxurious.

- Pedro and the luck score the 1-0

The first half started as almost all of the last season at the Camp Nou: clearly having the ball and with a show of moves and with Messi, that alien. However, before the last appeared at the Camp Nou, Pedro had put Barça ahead in the scoreboard after a great move shot by Konko, making an own goal. In less of a quarter of an hour, the work was done.

- Messi’s hour

Guardiola’s players were leading with authority. Piqué, shamelessly, was the origin of each of the local moves, and Xavi was the great leader, the one in charge of assist brilliantly Messi to the hole at the 2-0 move. The Argentinean shot it underneath Palop, who from that moment stopped loosing time: Sevilla was already behind at the heat round. There had only passed 25 minutes and Messi still kept one last surprise for the first half. He ended with a shot to the goalmouth and with the right leg a previous partnership with Alves. 3-0.

- Villa makes his debut

When at the minute 56 jumped to the field Villa –who was making his debut in an official match with Barça- and Iniesta the match had already became a big ring which had the Camp Nou bewitched. Whit the player from Fuentealbilla at the field, the ring got even bigger. Both changes could have closed definitely the heat round at their first participations at the field. There was no luck, but there was fantasy.

- Messi puts the icing on top of the cake

Álvarez was forced to make changes. Cigarini, Perotti and Luis Fabiano jumped to the field to oxygenate the attacking zone of the team, exhausted after running without any success after the ball in defensive moves. This way, Sevilla was still unable to frighten, even being one goal far from the extra time. The Super Cup was deserved by Barça, which even had time to culminate the party with the hat-trick of Messi, after a great move made between Villa and Iniesta. Champions, Champions!
