Pedro: “We need a little more pace at the matches, but we are going to get it”

Pedro Rodríguez, one of the novelties of Vicente del Bosque within the list of the 23 called to fight for South Africa’s World Cup, continues with his gradual adaptation to the national team, where he doesn’t feel more pressure than in Barcelona.

“The pressure is the same”, admitted the young attacker, who explained that the players within the team are used to fight for titles and they also come to the national team with “the same mentality” and “looking forward” to get “something big”.

Pedro stated that, however, they have to face the situation “with calm”, “match by match” and “taking into account that the World Cup is going to be hard”.

The Barça player thinks that the style Vicente del Bosque’s national team plays with is logic, because “over all at the midfield there are very good players who create moves and it’s normal to look for this kind of game, touching and owning the ball”.

Pedro told us that the national team is “very good” and they are “training very hard”, although they “need a little more pace at the matches, but we are going to get it”.
