Pedro: “In Champions League you always have to start with a victory”

The attacker Pedro Rodríguez looked enthusiastic about the soothing victory they got at their first match of the current season of Champions League against the Greek Panathinaikos. For the player from Tenerife it is only worthy to win in the continental debut. “It has been a good match and we are very happy of our performance. In Champions League you always have to start with a victory”, he explained.

After the hitch against Hércules, some alarms had arisen, but the five goals scored today dispel all those doubts. “We knew that the victory was mandatory. About what happened the other day, it was a shame, but it is already forgotten”, he admitted.

Now Barça is focused on their next League fixture against Atlético de Madrid. “We must focus on Atlético because it is a team that always makes things difficult there”, ended Pedro.

- Víctor Valdés: "It hurts when you concede a goal”

“It always hurts when you concede a goal, but if you win, it hurts less. The perfect match would have been without that first goal”, admits the Barcelona goalkeeper, Víctor Valdés.
About next League clash against Atlético de Madrid, he stated that: “It’s a team we are not good at when we play at their home, and besides, Atlético is on a roll”.
