Pedrito: "I hope I can play the final"

Pedrito didn’t hide that he wants to play the World Cup’s final against Holland, after his great performance against Germany at the semi final.

“I always want to play, but is the coach who decides. I hope I can play because everybody would want to play a World Cup’s final”

Of his mate Puyol, the author of the historic goal which qualified, for the first time, the Spanish team for a World Cup’s final, said that “he’s on top form, he’s playing all the games very well and he’s also been very lucky to score this goal which gave us the place at the final”. “I’m very happy for him and all the mates have congratulated him”, he stated.

About the move in which he could have given the ball to Fernando Torres to score the second goal, he regretted his excessive individualism. “I think I took a bad decision when I decided to dribble, maybe I should have shot first and then I don’t see Fernando Who’s by my side all alone. It’s a shame, because we had a very clear opportunity to get the 2-0”, he explained.
About the optimism in Spain, Pedrito believes that in his village “they have lived it with a lot of euphoria and eagerly, as in the rest of Spain”. “I haven’t been able to speak with any friend from there, but I’m sure they’ll tell me that all was a party”, he added.
